Tell me what you know!When the Bureau first installed a 3Mk7 in Melbourne is a little of a mystery. Certainly in August 1956 a small group of techs were sent to the Army 132 Divisional Locating Battery RAA in Batman Ave(2). for training on the radar, so obviously the Bureau did not have one on its own premises then.

(1) This radar was most likely replaced with another as techs were given practical training on a 3Mk7 at this site as late as December 1966. A 3Mk7 iradar was still there in 1968 though it is not known if it still was servicable.
