WF44 Remote Control Unit

The Bureau-developed a Remote Control Console to provide PPI and RHI weather-watch displays via either multi-core cabling, or Radarplex, in operations rooms remote from the radar head.

R.C.U.s were installed on Radarplex systems at:
Melbourne Regional Office VIC to control the remote WF44 at Laverton.(1976)
Brisbane Regional Office QLD. to control the remote WF44 at Mt. Kanigan near Gympie (1976)
Townsville QLD. to control the remote WF44 at Mt. Stuart (1976)
Learmonth W.A.to control the remote WF44 at Cape Range (1978)
Brisbane Airport QLD. to control the remote WF44 at Pinkenbar, on the other side of the airport..(1987)
